Cleaning Tips
Better ways to clean.
Here are some easy ways you can clean effectively,
efficiently, and environmentally.
 |
Carpet |
| . |
Prior to using a deep-cleaning machine, sweep your carpet with a
standard push broom and vacuum thoroughly. This technique stands the carpet
fibers upright allowing your vacuum to lift more dirt.
|
| . |
Use furniture protectors until carpet is completely dry. Mahogany,
redwood, and other types of wood can bleed onto wet carpet. |
| . |
Blot any spills with a clean cloth as soon as possible. Don't
scrub because scrubbing could damage carpet fiber and permanently set the
stain. |
| . |
Have your carpet professionally cleaned every 24 months. |
 |
Upholstery |
| . |
Try using a rubber dish glove to clean pet hair from upholstery.
Simply wipe your gloved hand along the surface and watch hair bunch into clumps
that are easier to vacuum. |
| . |
Use a washable throw or sheet to protect furniture from body
soils, especially in warmer months. |
